So we have had positive news this week about emerging from lockdown and I hope that this has brought you some certainty and comfort in what has undoubtedly been a testing time. I realise that for some of you there will have been illness or loss too, and you are in my thoughts.
There will be much healing to be done over the coming months and beyond, and as a massage therapist, I am standing ready to play my part in supporting clients in this journey. I think this past year has demonstrated just how much we value and need touch, and massage has an important role to play in both our emotional and physical wellbeing.
“Touch is not just a sentimental human indulgence. It’s a biological need”. Professor Francis McGlone, Touch Researcher
How & when can I get a massage?
You can now make an advance booking for April, May & June. Many of you have vouchers from 2020 to use too, so please get in touch.
I will be resuming hands-on work from Monday 19th April (we can officially work from 12th but it’s still the school Easter holidays so I will have childcare commitments).
Daytime, evening and weekend appointments are available to suit everyone. Click here for opening hours. I am resuming Hot Stone Massages (at last!!) and home visits in exceptional circumstances. Treatment times are limited to 60 minutes until further notice.
Covid and Massage
In line with guidance from the Government, professional bodies and my insurance company, I will continue to have full Covid measures remain in place from April. That means PPE for therapist and client, hand sanitation, enhanced cleaning and risk assessment, online consultation and Covid-screening. Full details available here.
Many of you will have been vaccinated – I am still eagerly awaiting mine – but the risk of Covid transmission and illness for some will remain so I thank you for your continued support in implementing these measures.
So if you have stored up some aches and pains, or need to take some time out to de-stress, please do get in touch to book in. In the meantime remember that I also offer online and telephone consultations and self-treatment plans.
I have very much missed massage and my wonderful clients, so I am delighted to get back to hands-on work again.
